This proposals aims to reduce the team and contributors’ distribution from the current 320,000 DBX/month to 80,000 DBX/month.
Background
During our initial planning stage, market conditions were vastly different, making liquidity on dexie hard to predict long-term. We anticipated issuing a larger amount as incentives than actually distributed, leading to a monthly team distribution of 320,000 DBX.
With more data and a clearer understanding of the market now, I propose reducing this distribution to 80,000 DBX per month. This reduction aligns more closely with community emissions, such as liquidity incentives.
Whats changing
If this proposal passes, the monthly team distribution will be reduced from 320,000 DBX/month to 80,000 DBX/month.
Implementation
Once voting is completed and the proposal is approved, the new distribution rate will take effect the following month. Therefore, the reduced distribution of 80,000 DBX/month will begin at the end of the subsequent month.
Next steps
This proposal is now open for discussion and will then move to a snapshot vote.
Note: The total supply of DBX will always be 100,000,000 DBX. This DIP only relates to the distribution of the uncirculating team supply.
